***3D and DCC Hardware Discussion E-Mail List
(March 17)

Dariush Derakhshani and Josh Reiss have announced an email-based,
moderated discussion forum for high-end computer hardware for the
entire 3D and Digital Content Creation (DCC) communities,
professional and hobbyists alike, from Maya users to Lightwave to
compositors and editors who use computers for their work and art.

The email list will cover discussions of the hardware needed to
run DCC software with a particular emphasis on 3D production and
post effects. The pair hope that the email forum will be a
valuable asset to all as a resource of opinions and ideas,
reviews and reports, and accounts of first hand experiences with
the hardware that shapes the professional and hobbyist worlds.
The list will be made up of system buyers, users, and DIY system
builders, all of whom can contribute their experience in one way
or another to this new collective of DCC pros and enthusiasts.

The list will not be an advertising forum, and the moderators
will not allow system vendors to advertise, to keep the email
forum as a free flowing conduit of ideas and opinions for the
communities.

Derakhshani and Reiss will moderate the list and encourage open
and frank conversations about all things hardware, pertaining to
DCC and 3D. Spam filtering is a top priority, so only
subscribers will be able to view and post to the email list.
Furthermore the list is private and protected, and absolutely
will not be shared with anyone to safeguard from spam.

There are plans to open the discussions to general, non-
subscribed members as a web based forum in the near future.
