***Conexant Achieves CableLabs DOCSIS 1.1 Certification

Conexant Systems, Inc., a provider of semiconductor system
solutions for communications applications, today announced that
Conexant's InfoSurge CX24943 single-chip cable modem and CX24408
silicon tuner have received CableLabs DOCSIS 1.1 certification.

In addition, Samsung Electronics has obtained DOCSIS 1.1
certification for its SCM-140U cable modem, which is based on
Conexant's CX24943 cable modem solution.

Conexant's customers have achieved certification with USB,
Ethernet, USB/Ethernet, and Peripheral Component Interconnect
(PCI) cable modems.

Conexant's DOCSIS 1.0 customers include Aastra, Accton, Best
Data, CastleNet, D-Link, High Speed Surfing, Linksys, LG Innotek,
Samsung Electronics, SMC, Terayon and Zoom Telephonics Inc. In
addition, Conexant customers Accton, CastleNet and Samsung have
received EuroDOCSIS 1.0 certification.
