***ATI's MOBILITY RADEON 7500 to be Used in New Compaq Mobile
Pentium 4 Consumer and Commercial Notebook PCs

ATI Technologies Inc., a supplier of notebook graphics worldwide,
announced today that Compaq Computer Corporation will use ATI's
MOBILITY RADEON 7500 graphics processor for its new EvoNotebook
N800 and Presario 2800 series notebook personal computers.
Both models are among the first announced notebooks in the world
to include the new Intel Mobile Pentium 4 processor. They include
ATI's MOBILITY RADEON 7500 with 64MB of dedicated 128-bit DDR
video memory.
ATI states that the MOBILITY RADEON 7500 graphics processor
brings the features and performance of a desktop PC to the
notebook space, including unrivalled 3D performance, smooth DVD
playback, integrated TV-out, superior multi-monitor support, and
the ability to run the latest high-power video games and an
extensive array of the industry's most graphics-intensive
applications. ATI's unique POWERPLAY power management technology
also ensures long battery life through power saving techniques
that include dynamic clock speed and voltage scaling.
The new Compaq EvoNotebook N800 notebook PC features the MOBILITY
RADEON 7500 graphics controller, a Mobile Intel Pentium 4
processor, up to a 60 GB hard drive, choice of up to 15" panels
including UXGA+ resolution, various optical drives including a
DVD/CD-RW combo drive and USB 2.0 support.
The new Compaq Presario 2800 features the MOBILITY RADEON 7500
graphics controller as well as a 1.7 GHz Mobile Intel Pentium 4-M
processor, 30 GB hard drive, 15" SXGA+ panel, DVD/CD-RW combo
drive, additional MultiBay battery, 802.11b MultiPort and USB 2.0
support.
