***Virginia Tech Selects Mesh Technology from Radiant
(February 7)

Radiant Networks, a London-based developer of fixed-broadband-
wireless mesh technology, and Virginia Tech University, have
signed an agreement. The deal makes Virginia Tech the first LMDS
license holder to commercially deploy Radiant's technology. The
system will be deployed in June 2001. Radiant's mesh technology
allows each subscriber to connect with its neighbors rather than
a base station, according to the company.
