***MiTAC Wireless WebPAD Series

MiTAC Wireless WebPAD series will be released at CeBit 2001 in
Hanover, Germany. The series of MiTAC Wireless WebPADs on display
includes Davinci WebPAD and IW-1521WF WebPAD, functioning as
portable web access devices for home and commercial applications.
The MiTAC Wireless WebPAD series offers computer and non-computer
users a gateway to a wireless e-world using a MiTAC self-
developed Linux Embedded OS.

Equipped with Bluetooth & Wireless LAN interface, Davinci I
WebPAD is a web-based access device, which also has a mini PCI
slot for optional HomePNA or 10/100 LAN. The WebPAD has a 10" TFT
LCD with resolution 800*600 Super VGA displaying 64k color and is
equipped with standard and simplified HW and SW specifications,
including standard x86 architecture NS GXI CPU, IO Companion
NATIONAL CX5530 & BGA352 Chipset, touch panel with touch pen, and
CompactFlash slot for storage purpose. The wireless unit weighs
2kg and is 290mm(L) by 215mm(W) by 24mm(H).

The IW-1521WF WebPAD is also equipped with a Wireless LAN
interface and employs IEEE 802.11b (PCMCIA / USB) and Bluetooth
(PCMCIA / USB / On-board U ART module). It sports a 8.4 TFT Flat
Panel with SVGA 800*600 resolution. This WebPAD is as light as
1.1kg and as small as 244mm(L) by 170mm(W) by 24mm(H). The WebPAD
supports standard and simplified HW and SW specifications, such
as StrongARM SA – 1110 – 206MHz (233 MIPS) CPU, Companion Chip
StrongARM SA – 1111, touch panel with touch pen, and CompactFlash
slot for storage purpose.
