***Tao Group Launches a Suite of Multi-media Products

Tao Group has launched intent, a suite of multimedia toolkits and
engines capable of running responsive multimedia content on
almost any networked device. Tao's intent toolkit allows
manufacturers to maximize the value of their products with
branding, intuitive interfaces and solutions.

Tao is a Sun Microsystems Java technology licensee. The intent
Java technology edition is based upon Sun's Java Virtual Machine
Specification and will be a certified implementation enabling a
range of products such as mobile phones, PDAs and game consoles
to run embedded applications.

intent has been targeted towards connected digital devices. It
resolves the problem of balancing memory efficiency and
performance and, at the same time, it offers portability across
processors and hardware platforms. Tao's register-based Virtual
Machine and portable "virtual code" assembler have allowed for
compact content supporting global standards combined with
portability.

The intent product suite uses a range of patents developed as
part of Tao's Elate Deterministic Operating System program. These
techniques make intent compact, fast and binary portable, running
across a range of operating systems and hardware platforms.
Manufacturers with devices using operating systems such as Linux,
Windows, QNX 4 and Elate can run with multimedia technologies for
connected devices for home networking such as digital TV, as well
as automotive and smart phones.
