***Alias|Wavefront to Develop Maya for Intel's IA-64 Processor

Alias|Wavefront announced plans to develop a version of its Maya
software for Intel's IA-64 Itanium processor and Microsoft's 64-
bit Windows NT operating system. Previously known by the code
name Merced, the Intel Itanium processor uses a 64-bit
architecture and offers the robust performance required by data-
intensive 3D visualizations and computer graphics.

By extending the commitment to the Windows NT market to include
the Itanium high-end workstation and server markets,
Alias|Wavefront's Maya will continue to provide a range of high-
performance solutions for digital content creators in all
segments of the entertainment industry.

Alias|Wavefront's Maya will be certified on workstations from a
number of hardware vendors who have announced plans for the
production of IA-64 systems.
