***Taiwan's PCB Worldwide Market Share Surpasses 10%

Taiwan's Industry Research Institute's ITIS survey reported that
Taiwan's Printed Circuit Board (PCB) production value reached
NT$118.6 billions (US$1.00 = NT$31.485), 17% higher than last
year. The survey also reported that Taiwan's worldwide PCB market
share rose above 10% for the first time, behind only the US
America and Japan. The report said that due to price-cutting by
manufacturers such as like Compaq, the entire PCB industry in
Taiwan suffered serious losses in profits
