***3Dlabs Enables Vital Images' Vitrea 2 - High-end Medical
Volumetric Visualization Software on Windows NT

3Dlabs announced that the Oxygen GVX1 workstation graphics
accelerator has been selected as the preferred graphics board for
Vitrea 2, a Microsoft Windows NT-compatible version of software
for 2D/3D visualization and analysis of medical image data from
Vital Images. Vitrea 2 is Vital Images' 3D-volume visualization
software product has been developed for the Windows platform with
the support and assistance of 3Dlabs. Vital Images announced the
shipment of Vitrea 2 on December 27, 1999.

3Dlabs' work with Vital Images is an example of 3Dlabs' ongoing
application developer support program - whereby 3Dlabs provides
close support to application developers for optimal application
performance and quality when running on 3Dlabs' Oxygen boards.

Vitrea 2, Vital Images' medical visualization and analysis
software for surgical planning and non-invasive diagnostic
evaluation of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance
(MR) imaging data, boasts a performance increase, including 3D
volume rendering, of up to four times faster than its
predecessors. Proprietary code takes advantage of the SSE
instruction set of the latest Pentium III processors from Intel.
