Wireless Communications Industry
(March 15)
According to the latest research by Frost & Sullivan, North
American Wireless Handset Markets, revenues for the wireless
industry were estimated at $5.1 billion in 1998.
The explosive demand for wireless communication devices is caused
by an increase in mobile workers and a larger market interest and
acceptance in general.
In addition, falling unit prices, more affordable service fees,
and an increasing demand for enhanced wireless functionality’s
such as paging, short messaging and data transfer are expected to
drive the market.
