(April 22)

Hewlett Packard announced on March 23, 1998 a new 333MHz Pentium
II-based version of the Kayak XW PC Workstation line
incorporating the ELSA Synergy PERMEDIA 2 AGP graphics card at
an estimated street price below US$5,000.

Appian Graphics announced at CeBIT 98 its latest generation
Jeronimo Pro dual monitor card utilizing two PERMEDIA 2
processors. On March 12, 1998, Appian also announced that the
Jeronimo Pro had been selected by IBM's professional Workstation
Group for multi-monitor Windows NT solutions, on the IBM
IntelliStation M Pro. Jeronimo Pro is bundled with HydraVision,
Appian's display management software that allows users set up
their multi-monitor configuration.

NEC Computer Systems Division has announced that it is including
the PERMEDIA 2-based AccelSTAR II high-end accelerator from
AccelGraphics, Inc. in its entry-level Windows NT workstations.

Acer has launched a new workstations that use GLoria Synergy
from ELSA Inc.

ELSA Inc. has announced an AGP-enabled high-end graphics
accelerator based on the GLINT GMX 1000 chipset. GLoria-XXL is
capable of accelerating up to 3.3 million polygons-per-second,
with fully-accelerated geometry transformations and lighting
calculations.

MaxVision Corporation (Huntsville, AL) introduced MaxGraphix
Titan II OpenGL 3D graphics accelerator, featuring the GLINT GMX
2000, a 16MByte VRAM frame buffer and an 80MByte DRAM local
buffer.
