Real 3D Obtains Microsoft WHQL Certification for StarFighter
Graphics Board

Real 3D said that its recently announced StarFighter AGP graphics
accelerator board has achieved Microsoft's Windows Hardware
Quality Labs (WHQL) certification on its first attempt. The Real
3D StarFighter is the first graphics board powered by the new
Intel740 graphics chip to receive WHQL certification. Real 3D co-
developed the Intel740 graphics accelerator chip.

The WHQL certification process ensures prospective buyers that
the hardware components they are purchasing will work with their
existing systems. Reportedly, eight of ten first-time submissions
to Microsoft's WHQL either fail or sit in the lab due to minor
errors.

The Real 3D StarFighter AGP graphics board received certification
for Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0, and has been listed as
compatible for the upcoming Windows 98.
