ELSA GLoria Graphics Boards Deliver Hardware Acceleration for
AutoCAD R14 and 3D Studio MAX 2.0

ELSA, Inc. announced three product-specific software solutions
for the GLoria family of professional graphics accelerators.

- POWERdraft-the only hardware-accelerated graphics driver and
utility set for AutoCAD R14-builds on ELSA's early solutions
for AutoCAD with an easy-to-use navigational interface for
AutoCAD users. POWERdraft's display list technology and
hardware acceleration enables a performance leap of up to 4x
beyond standard AutoCAD R14 drivers, according to the relevant
benchmark tests.

- ELSA MAXtreme, the specialized driver for 3D Studio MAX R2,
delivers up to a 250% performance jump over standard OpenGL
drivers. The most dramatic performance gains are experienced
during interactive editing or when viewing images with complex
textures.

- ELSAview 3D is a real-time 3D editor and viewer, which is
integrated with AutoCAD R14, R13 and Autodesk Mechanical
Desktop. The latest release of ELSAview 3D provides an extended
light source editor, a new materials editor, a dynamic depth
slice editor, clipping functionality and improved navigation
for model walk-throughs and fly-throughs.

Dynamic Pictures, Inc. announced the availability of Dynamic
Pictures PowerThreads technology for Multi-Threaded OpenGL.

Dynamic Pictures' new Oxygen 3.0 drivers now have embedded
PowerThreads technology. Developed for the Dynamic Pictures
Oxygen 3D family of graphics accelerators, PowerThreads
technology automatically enables Dynamic Pictures Oxygen 3D
cards to take full advantage of the new breed of multi-
processor PCs, boosting OpenGL graphics performance by up to
60%. The combination of PowerThreads software technology and
Oxygen hardware addresses the needs of multi-processor system
users who work with 3D graphics applications written to utilize
only one CPU.

Both industry benchmarks and applications-based benchmarks
illustrate the powerful combination of Dynamic Pictures Oxygen
cards and PowerThreads technology. Oxygen 402 delivers a
Viewperf CDRS-03 score of 42, with application performance
seeing similar results.

PowerThreads technology is integrated into Version 3.0 of the
Dynamic Pictures Oxygen drivers for Microsoft Windows NT.
Beginning in March, registered users will be able to download
the $99 driver for a limited time at no cost. A CD-ROM based
version also will be available for a $9.95 shipping and
handling charge. The Oxygen PowerThreads CD-ROM includes more
than 600MB of bundled 3D models and textures, as well as trial
versions of applications and VRML tools from software
companies.
