Creative Announces 8MB-software bundle and 12MB availability
for 3D Blaster Voodoo2

Creative Technology Ltd. announced a new software bundle to
the 8MB version of its recently released 3D-accelerator card,
3D Blaster Voodoo2. The 8MB version of 3D Blaster Voodoo2
comes bundled with the full version of the following three new
PC game titles:
-- Creative Labs, "Ultim@te Race Pro" from MultiProse,Inc. is
a slick action racing game for PC gamers who crave hot cars
and fast action.
-- "Incoming" by Rage Software has incredible details and
textures as explosions light up the night sky in a battle to
save Earth.
--"G-Police" from Psygnosis flight simulation game takes the
PC to the next level as gamers patrol the skies and avoid
airborne missiles in an extraordinary aerial combat.
Creative also beat the competition by shipping the fully
loaded 12MB Version ahead of industry expectations.
A fully equipped 12MB version, the maximum configuration
possible, has an estimated street price of US$299.A powerful
8MB version with an estimated street price of US$199 after US
$30 mail-in rebate.
Both models include very high speed, single cycle DRAM and

Diamond Multimedia Announces Retail Version of Fire GL 1000
Pro AGP

Diamond Multimedia Systems, Inc. announced its first
Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) - enabled graphics accelerator
for the retail market, the Fire GL 1000 Pro AGP. The Fire GL
1000 Pro AGP is a high-end integrated 2D/3D/MPEG-1 graphics
accelerator designed to bring the advanced graphics
capabilities of AGP technology to Pentium II users. The retail
Fire GL 1000 Pro AGP, with 8MB of SGRAM and a software bundle
featuring powerful 3D productivity applications, is now
shipping at an estimated retail price of $199.95.
The Fire GL 1000 Pro incorporates 3Dlabs' PERMEDIA 2
Processor, which includes a full floating-point geometry setup
processor built with GLINT Delta technology, an integrated
230MHz RAMDAC and is capable of displaying resolutions as high
as 1920x1200 in high color. The Fire GL 1000 Pro is populated
with 8MB of high-powered 100 MHz SGRAM memory and offers a
complete 3D feature set, including rasterization, texture
mapping, double buffering and 16-bit Z-buffering. With
software and hardware optimized for speed and reliability, the
Fire GL 1000 Pro AGP can process up to one million texture
mapped polygons per second with applications based on the
OpenGL, Direct3D and HEIDI application programming interfaces

Diamond Multimedia's Viper V330 Featured in Computer City's
Wingen 5830 Desktop System

Diamond Multimedia Systems, Inc. announced that its high-end
consumer multimedia accelerator, the Viper V330, is the
graphics subsystem in a Computer City house-brand desktop
system, the Wingen 5830. The Wingen 5830 with 32MB of system
memory features the AGP version of the Viper V330 and a 300
MHz Pentium II-based processor for a retail price of $1,999.00
The Viper, V330, multimedia accelerator, based on NVIDIA's
Corp.'s Riva 128 media controller, is a true 128-bit solution
for accelerating 2D/3D graphics and MPEG-1 digital video
playback. With AGP-support and 4MB of SGRAM, Diamond's Viper
V330 is capable of displaying resolutions up to 1920 x 1200
and color depths up to 32-bit true-color. A 230MHz RAMDAC
provides flicker-free refresh rates of up to 200Hz.

Black Magic 3D With Voodoo2 Heralds STB's Entry into the
Dedicated 3D Accelerator Category

STB Systems Inc. announced its new dedicated 3-D multimedia
accelerator, the Black Magic 3D With Voodoo2. Utilizing the
Voodoo2 graphics chipset from 3Dfx Interactive. The Black
Magic 3D With Voodoo2 is being released as an 8MB board with
an estimated retail price of $199 or as a 12MB board for $299,
and should be available to retailers, OEMs and distributors in
April.

Diamond Multimedia Offers 12MB Voodoo2 Solution With Free
Software Bundle For $299.95 ERP

Diamond Multimedia Systems, Inc. announced plans to launch a
12MB version of its Monster 3D II graphics accelerator.
Powered by the Voodoo2 graphics chipset from 3Dfx Interactive,
the new 12MB Monster 3D II will ship early in the second
quarter of 1998 for an estimated retail price (ERP) of
$299.95. Both the 12MB and the 8MB versions of the Monster 3D
II feature Diamond Multimedia's unique hardware design and
Diamond's software drivers for top 3D gaming performance.
The 12MB Monster 3D II will feature 4MB of fast EDO DRAM for
the Voodoo2's pixel engine and 4MB EDO DRAM for each of the
two texture engines. In addition, the retail version of the
12MB Monster 3D II will ship with a compelling software bundle
featuring a number of new, exciting 3D games. The new 12MB
Monster 3D II will also support the MEGAMonster option
allowing two Monster 3D II accelerators to run cooperatively
in one system, providing twice the 3D performance and support
for game play at 1024x768 resolution with Z-buffering.
