Intergraph Announces New TDZ 2000 MAX
(Feb. 19)

Intergraph Computer Systems announced TDZ 2000 MAX - a
specially configured 3D Graphics Workstation that specifically
targets the needs of Kinetix 3D Studio MAX R2 users. In
conjunction with this announcement, Kinetix is announcing
additional incentives for customers purchasing 3D Studio MAX
R2 and Character Studio 2.0 with a TDZ 2000 MAX. TDZ 2000 MAX
comes bundled with Intergraph's RenderGL MAX and ViZfx MAX.
The inclusion of RenderGL MAX with the TDZ 2000 MAX means that
3D Studio MAX R2 users can preview animations with multiple
textures, shadows, raytracing, Phong shading, and other
sophisticated effects, without having to wait for a final
render. With RenderGL MAX and ViZfx MAX, included at no
additional charge, the affordable TDZ 2000 MAX delivers to 3D
Studio MAX R2 users to the ability to do modeling to preview
rendering to special effects processing.

The new TDZ 2000 MAX is claimed to be the most powerful
platform available for 3D Studio MAX R2 and includes:

-- RenderGL MAX: Enables 3D Studio MAX R2 users to quickly
view an animated sequence with sophisticated effects such as
shadows, Phong shading, bump maps, transparencies, and more
without having to perform a final render. This improves the
production workflow by enabling animators to get the approval
of an art director or client using a high-quality
approximation of the final rendered product.

-- ViZfx MAX: Delivers more than 50 high-quality OpenGL
special effects, including unique effects such as blurs,
blasts, and raindrops. ViZfx MAX also includes compositing
features that enable 3D Studio MAX users to layer 3D
animations with video clips and other content.

-- Intense 3D Pro 2200S Graphics: Intergraph's graphics
subsystem enables true-color display at up to 1280 x 1024
resolution. With OpenGL acceleration and features such as
dedicated texture memory, the Intense 3D Pro 2200S enables 3D
Studio MAX R2 users to work interactively with richly textured
3D models and animations with no sacrifices in resolution or
color depth.

-- Multiple display support: The TDZ 2000 MAX supports up to
four monitors simultaneously, including Intergraph's unique
28" 16 x 9 aspect ratio (HDTV-format) displays.

-- Expandability: The TDZ 2000 MAX is the most expandable
workstation in the industry, with eight full-sized expansion
slots and an onboard disk capacity of up to 36.4 GB. The
optional TowerMate Expansion Base extends the TDZ 2000's
motherboard to a total of 13 slots and a disk capacity of up
to 72.8 GB.

The TDZ 2000 MAX is available immediately through authorized
Intergraph and Kinetix Resellers. Street prices start at $7300
for a basic system with a single 300 MHz Pentium II processor,
128 MB memory, 4 GB onboard disk storage, Intense 3D 2200S
Graphics, 19" Monitor, ViZfx MAX, and RenderGL MAX. For

Intergraph's 3D graphics leads industry with top Viewperf
scores; Intense 3D Pro 3400, due to ship
(March 10)

Intergraph Computer Systems announced that they have achieved
high scores on all five Viewperf benchmarks. Hardware-based
geometry acceleration available with Intergraph's 3D graphics
technology boosts application performance on Windows NT.
Intergraph's highest end 3D graphics card, RealiZm II VX113 in
Intergraph's TDZ 2000 ViZual Workstation achieved the
following scores within currently shipping products -- 115.82
on CDRS-03, 15.54 on DX-03, 11.40 on DRV-04, 21.44 on AWadvs-
01, and 1.191 on Light-01.a)

(a) -- Measured on a TDZ 2000 ViZual Workstation with RealiZm
II VX113 using a 333 MHz Pentium II processor. The DRV-04 test
was running using dual 333 MHz Pentium II processors

The Intense 3D Pro 3400 is Intergraph's new OEM 3D graphics
accelerator. The new graphics card offers performance
improvements over previous Intense 3D Pro products with 2.6
million lit smooth shaded triangles per second and 60 million
pixels per second tri-linear textured fill rate. Intergraph's
Intense 3D Pro 3400 provides the highest quality --double-
buffered 24-bit color with a 32-bit z-buffer -- and the same
rich feature set inherent with all of Intergraph's graphics
products including tri-linear MIP-mapping, Intergraph-
developed drivers optimized for application performance, and
an optional dedicated hardware-based geometry accelerator.

Including Intergraph itself, three vendors of Windows NT-based
workstations now use Intergraph's OEM graphics products to
accelerate their 3D graphics workstations:

-- IBM IntelliStation Workstations with Intense 3D Pro 3400 or
Intense 3D Pro 2200.
-- DEC a-Series (Alpha-based) and i+ Series (Intel-based)
Personal Workstations with PowerStorm graphics.
-- Intergraph TDZ 2000 ViZual Workstations with RealiZm II 3D
Graphics.

In addition, Intergraph's Intense 3D Pro 2200S has been
selected by Fujitsu to power their new FMV Pro Series
workstations targeting animation, high-end CAD, and visual
simulation in Asian markets.

Intergraph's new Intense 3D Pro 3400 is available immediately
to OEM vendors with price determined by quantity. Available
