Integraph Rolls Out Media Production Workstations
(February 6)

Intergraph Computer Systems announced the new StudioZ
Pro 3D and StudioZ T-RAX 3D Media Production
Workstations, two new additions to Intergraph's line
of Intel/Windows NT-based StudioZ Media Production
Workstations. The new StudioZ 3D models, powered by
dual 300 MHz Pentium II processors, deliver the same
serial digital (D1/SDI) video capability as standard
StudioZ’s, and include the addition of Intergraph's
RealiZm II 3D Graphics subsystem for the creation of
3D animation. Using the StudioZ 3D workstation with
Windows NT-based software such as 3D Studio MAX R2,
LightWave 3D, or SOFTIMAGE|3D, content creators can
create complex 3D animations at true-color
resolutions with an accelerated screen display. The
animated content can then be composited with video
clips, edited nonlinearly, enhanced with special
effects, sweetened with audio, and output as
broadcast-quality video - all on a single
workstation. The new StudioZ 3D models are the only
Intel/Windows NT-based workstations on the market
that deliver all of these capabilities in one
workstation to professionals working in broadcast
television, feature films, corporate videos, and
other areas of media production.

Intergraph's StudioZ Pro 3D and StudioZ T-RAX 3D
Workstations are available immediately through
authorized Intergraph resellers. Street prices start
at $21,750 for the StudioZ Pro 3D, and $28,895 for
the StudioZ T-RAX 3D, for a base configuration with
dual 300 MHz Pentium II CPUs, 128 MB EDO memory,
RealiZm II ZX13 graphics, and approximately 40 GB of
onboard disk storage.
