***WAVE Survey Results
by Malisa L. Burkeen

We thank all who responded to the recent survey of WAVE readers. The
response was surprising, enlightening and helpful. It gives us
satisfaction that your overall ratings were so high. A majority of the
comments you wrote were positive and many of your suggestions are being
considered.

On the winning side was the frequency of publication, the brevity of
style and Quick News. Many asked for more information on software. As a
result, we will continue to put more emphasis here. Some Macintosh
users would like more about their platform and its 3D applications.
This is one area we find difficult. For example, WAVE has been at the
last two Macworld shows and the news was low except perhaps for damage
control blitzes. We continue to be sensitive to the needs of our Mac
readers.

Several of you asked about the formatting and organization of the
issues. In particular we received requests to have issues distributed
in HTML and searchable issues on our home page. Given the wide
distribution we must use the lowest common denominator mail output to
meet the needs of all e-mail packages. Making radical changes in
formatting and distribution is something we approach with caution.

Again, we appreciate your ratings and suggestions. Every one was read.
We will soon be posting the analysis results on our web site
(http://www.fourthwave.com). This also has all of the back issues of
WAVE. Please continue to provide your comments and suggestions as The
WAVE Report remains a work in progress.
